Art in All Forms

by Alex's Heart founder Dariya Dobreva

This week I want to challenge myself to tap into my inner creativity. So I sit down on my couch and start thinking about what art is for me? Is it drawing? Is it jewelry design? Is it clay or wood burning?

Art comes in different forms - when I look around everything we do can be our art. Anything and everything can be art: writing is art of words, and photography is art of the image we take.

So while I was on my couch I wanted to be able to inspire myself and others with my art. And my choice of art this time is photography. But how can I take a photo that can bring that feeling to people who see it? Well, after hours of research I come to conclusion that the world is beautiful and every leaf, every little grass, every animal and person are inspiring. It all depends on who is looking at the picture. I get inspired by looking at how amazing life can be when you help people around you and help nature keep blooming, and capturing these moments on camera is one of the most breath taking things in my eyes. Looking around me with everything that’s happening, pictures taken at this moments can bring warm feelings in anyone and can help us change our life’s perspective. While I was doing my research, I came across some amazing pictures of nature and people, but also some pictures of cruelty and hatred. In that moment I thought to myself how can I do better for this people, what can I do for Mother nature? When you see a flower blooming after the cold winter, or a little bird coming out of the egg, you feel that life can be hard and cold - but it’s also a new beginning.

So for me I want to do better is to be able to tell my story and the story of people around me with my art in my Photography. As basic as it is, I want to focus on bringing joy and feelings that things will be OK, no matter what we are going through we can be good - because after every storm there is a sunshine.
